FAQ

Fit and Sizing:

How do I find out what size I am?

You can find a detailed Sizing Chart  for each jersey type below the product image and description on the product page . As one person’s baggy is another person’s tight the most subjective way to find the correct size is to measure the armpit to armpit distance on your best fitting jersey and compare that to our measurements.

How do I measure my jersey?

To make sure you’re measuring your jersey the right way, take a look at our measuring guide here .

Can I order multiple jerseys to try on?

If you can’t decide between a couple of sizes, you can order multiple jerseys to try on and return the jerseys you do not want to keep as long as they are unworn and with all of their original packaging.

Do you make custom made jerseys?

We do not make custom jerseys I'm afraid but if you want more than 10 of our jerseys we can look to embroider them for you.

What is Merino SportWool Fabric?

It's made from 100% superfine non mulesing Merino Wool knitted onto the inside of a robust Polyester framework ensuring the wool is against the skin. We use one of the very few companies in the world that have permission to produce the fabric.

Does the fabric have any stretch in it?

Yes it does, it's not a stretchy as lycra however you will find that merino SportWool does have a good degree of stretch to fit your curves and angles!

Orders from outside the UK will be sent via Royal Mail’s International service.

You will be sent a shipping confirmation email once your order has been dispatched.

Orders placed after 3pm on Friday and over the weekend will be shipped the following Monday.

Can I return my jerseys if they don’t fit etc?

Yes, you can. We are keen to give you as much information on sizing as we can to get the fit right however if you need to return the jersey we will make this as easy as we can for you. Just write a short covering note on the paperwork provided to let me and Al know if you want to exchange the jersey or obtain a refund.

We recommend that our customers send their parcels using a tracked service as we are not liable to cover the cost of loss or damaged parcels that are sent to us.

You will have to cover the cost of returning your jerseys to us.

About Torm

Why do you only make jerseys and baselayers?

We want to stay focused on quality, remain deliberately small and have plenty of time to ride our bikes....to do one thing well.

Where are you based?

We are based in a village in the seaside town of Broadstairs, on the East Kent coast of England. It’s a great place to visit and cycle unless you like big hills.

Who works at Torm?

It’s just me and Al at Torm and we also run a local bike shop called SP Cycles. I mainly run Torm  and Al mainly runs the bike shop although we both muck in on both sides.

How should I wash my jerseys?

There are some pretty simple guidelines and you'll find these on our on our Garment Care Page

Contact details?

Our main contact email address is info@torm.cc

If you need to speak to a me or Al, here’s our telephone number: +441843865769.

If you want to write a letter to us: Torm, 98-100 Albion Road, Broadstairs, Kent, CT102UT, UK

I guess you like cycling so come visit. Broadstairs station is only 2 mins away and it’s a beautiful place to cycle, work and play.

Press contacts?

If you would like pictures/updates/press photos etc on what is happening at Torm then please email info@torm.cc

What does Torm mean?

It’s just a name, nothing more. It’s got a Scandinavian ring to it as we know the Scandinavians spend a lot of time in nature and that’s what we want people to do with our jerseys.

Have you always done this?

Nope, me and Al are scientists, we worked for large corporations but felt we needed to do something different with our lives so we opened a bike shop! We both still love science and we use it to make the best jerseys we can.

Do you supply shops?

No, we want to work directly with the customer and stay deliberately small.

How come your jerseys are so much cheaper than other merino SportWool suppliers?

Our jerseys are premium hand-crafted jerseys that take over 2 hrs to make from more than 40 components however our overheads are small and we don’t waste money on fancy facilities or advertising. When you buy from us most of the money simply goes towards the cost of buying the components and making the jerseys.

Despite our prices we know you can pay much less for jerseys, but not merino SportWool jerseys, the good thing when you make something that lasts is over time an expensive purchase will become great value for money. As my dad always says ‘you buy cheap, you buy twice son’.

What happens if my jersey fails?

Me and Al believe in quality and we believe a quality product should last the test of time. So we stand by our products. Come what may. So if you are not satisfied with one of our products at the time you receive it, please return it unworn within 30 days and we will exchange it or refund you, depending on what you want.

If one of our jerseys is faulty, we will replace it or refund you.

Purchasing items from Torm to be sent to the Eu

It doesn't matter whether Me and Al wanted Brexit or agreed with Brexit however we want to reassure you that it really doesn't change much in terms of what you will be paying for your items, just the way that you will be paying for them.

Below we have tried to describe what you can expect when you go onto our website to to choose your merino SportWool products.

When you go onto our website from a location in the Eu the system will automatically detect that you are not in the UK and the prices displayed will not include UK VAT with is currently charged at 20%. So when you checkout you will see there is no VAT on your order.

When we send your order we fill out a CN22 customs form for you to alert the customs in your country to the value of the goods that you have purchased.

When the item arrives at customs in your country you will be asked to pay VAT at your countries rate depending on the value of the goods that you have chosen.

There is also a threshold for when Import Duty becomes payable and this will be about 150 Euro, above this amount you may have to pay Import Duty on the value of the goods again dependent on the rate in your country.

So for example, if you wish to buy a Torm New T7 jersey and you live in the UK you will be charged £92 plus shipping. However if you are in the Eu the VAT will be removed and you will only pay £76.67 plus shipping, the VAT will be added at your location plus a nominal customs declaration charge.

So:

UK cost including VAT = £92 + shipping

Eu cost = £76.67 + shipping + VAT/Duty + nominal customs declaration charge

If you have any questions on fees you can contact your National Postal Service to confirm what charges will be applicable as they are our current courier service.

Deliveries may take a little longer as the customs services get used to the new system however we hope this will settle down and deliveries will get quicker.
